Prof. Sumio Iijima
University Professor (Meijo University, Japan), Honorary Fellow (AIST).
Professor Sumio Iijima was born in 1939 in Japan. In 1991, he discovered carbon nanotubes that have initiated nanomaterials science and nanotechnology. Following the discovery, he has been honored with numerous awards and prizes that include: Franklin Medal in physics (2001), Agilent Europhysics Award (2002), Balzan Prize (2007), Kavli Prize (2008), European Inventor Award (2015), etc.


Prof. Munir. H. Nayfeh
Professor of Physics (University of Illinois), Founder and President of NanoSi Advanced Technologies, Inc.
Professor Munir Nayfeh was born in 1945 in Palestine. He received his Doctor’s degree in Physics in 1974 at Stanford University. He has been honored with Science Personality of the Year in Umma Press, USA in 2014.


Prof. Eiichi Tamiya
Executive director, Photonics Center, Osaka University; Director, AIST-Osaka University Advanced Photonics and Open Innovation Laboratory.
Professor Eiichi Tamiya received his Doctor’s degree in 1985 at Tokyo Institute of Technology, in Science and Engineering. He has been honored the Invention Encouragement Award of Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Science in 2010, Nakatani Award (Gland Prix), Nakatani Foundation in 2016.


Assoc. Prof. Phan Bach Thang
Director of Center for Innovative Materials and Architectures, Vietnam National University, HCMC.
Professor Phan Bach Thang was born in 1979. He received his Doctor’s degree in Electronic Materials in 2009 at Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea. He has been awarded Top 10 Young Scientist publish Good SCI paper in 2009 and Excellent Young Lecturers for consecutive years.


Assoc. Prof. Dang Mau Chien
Head of Institute for Nanotechnology, Vietnam National University, HCMC.
Professor Dang Mau Chien received his Doctor’s degree in Materials Science and Technology in 1994 at Grenoble Institute of Technology, France. He has been awarded the First Prize in the Science and Engineering Fair of HCMC in 2005, Certificate of Merit in Science and Technology in 2015.


Dr. Duong Minh Hai

Dr. Hai M. Duong received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Melbourne University in 2004. Since then, he has expanded his research interests in science and applications of carbon-based nanomaterials through experiments and computational modelling. He was awarded 4 postdoctoral fellowships at world-class laboratories and 3 global innovational awards.


Dr. Mai Ngoc Tam
Vice President of Vietnam Institute for Building Materials.
He received his Doctor’s degree in Chemistry in 1995 at Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He has participated in 7 science research projects at ministry and state level. He also has 21 science publications in domestic and foreign journals.


Professor Nguyen Thi Hoe
Chairwoman of KOVA Paint Group
Professor Nguyen Thi Hoe was a chemistry lecturer in Vietnam’s top-tier universities for over 30 years. Thanks to her scientific contributions, Prof. Hoe received the esteemed Kovalevskaia Prize in the US and founded KOVA Paint in 1993. Prof. Hoe is also the founder of KOVA Prize established in 2002 to honor and support nationwide scientists, humanitarian activists and students. She was also among 1.000 women nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005.


Associate Professor Quoc Hien Nguyen works as a researcher at the Research and Development Center for Radiation Technology, Ho Chi Minh City. He is also a lecturer at the University of Science. His research interests focus on radiation processing technology (g-ray and electron beam) for the synthesis and modification of polymer materials, nano materials, and nano composites.


Dr. Nguyen Thi Le Thuy
She received her Doctor’s degree in Material Science and Technology at Grenoble Institute of Technology, France. She currently joins the Biosil Project of BSB Company and is developing and executing Nano Silica applications for the Company. Previously, she worked at Nano Labs in R&D Center, Saigon Hi-tech Park, where she and her colleagues developed a successfully commercialized product, namely BioSuncare with nano lycopene extracted from Gac fruit.


Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Anh

Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Anh was born in 1974. She has received her DVM degree in 1996 at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Hanoi Agricultural University. After that, she obtained her Master of Science in Pathology in 2004 and PhD of Immunology in 2011 both in Utrecht University of the Netherlands.
